The Governing body of Llandeilo CP School consists of parent representatives, local authority representatives and teaching staff representatives. The current membership is as below

Edward Thomas

 

County Councillior Edward Thomas represents Llandeilo & Dyffryn Cennen on Carmarthenshire County Council .  He has been a member of the Governing Body since 2010 and served as Chairman of Governors for 8 years stepping down in October 2018 .
Born & Bred In Llandeilo , prior to his election as County Councillor in 2012, Edward worked for nearly 40 years with Lloyds Bank .
Edward Is also a member of Llandeilo Town Council and serves  on many charitable and sports committees throughout the town.
Edward is a former pupil of Llandeilo Primary !!

Louise Bourns – Parent governor

Louise Bourns

Before moving to Wales Louise worked in education for almost fifteen years, as a teaching artist.  She worked with schools, community groups, museums and galleries across London.
She and her  husband now run a holiday let business. They  have two children in Ysgol Llandeilo who are now in the juniors, having both started in the nursery class.

Sian Collins – Community

Siân Collins

Siân has held several senior posts in secondary education, in London and in Wales. She has a particular interest in primary education and the local community, has served as a community councillor and charity volunteer, and is on the governing body of two local primary schools.

 

Gordon Kilby -Local Education Authority Rep

Rosetta Plummer – Community

Rosie is especially enthusiastic about education and science.  After 25 years in science research and management she spent six years as Director of the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

Amongst other things Rosie is trustee of two charities (Plantlife international and Centre for Alternative Technology).  She is also a Welsh Government appointee on the boards of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and of Natural Resources Wales.

Paula Senior – Parent governor

 

Paula has  2 children in the school, one in LH6 and the other in LH2. She has a particular interest in the science teaching and coordination in the school.

M. Wynne – Community

Neil Paton – Parent governor

Neil is a parent governor with three children in the school and is employed as a  lecturer in Veterinary Medicine for the Royal Veterinary College in London.

Based in Wales he is technical director of Animal Health and Welfare Wales – Gwaredu BVD
