A message from Mr T

Well, I was a little worried but I needn’t have been. We might not have had as many taking part as we’ve had in the past but it didn’t matter because the wonderful children of Llandeilo Primary School pulled it off yet again yesterday at the Town Council’s “Party in the Park”.

The young people that turned out to represent their school did so with pride and confidence and I was honoured to be standing there with them. The Foundation pupils were fantastic and set the bar pretty high, but the Juniors matched them and then to see forty-odd pupils from Year 1 up to Year 6 performing together at the end was a joy.

The weather did its best to spoil things but it didn’t faze anybody and by the time we finished, the sun was shining!!

From me personally and from the school, a very big thank you to all the parents, family and friends who gave up their Saturday to bring the children to Penlan Park. Your support and co-operation is very much appreciated. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

Mr T

Talk Homework!

The whole school is starting a new idea in Literacy to encourage writing – but we can’t do this without help from family and friends.

The idea is called “The Big Write” and we need you to talk to the children about a different topic each week.
We are going to call this “talk homework “

The philosophy behind this is that “if you can’t say it, you can’t write it”.  We would encourage all members of the family to engage with their children in the weekly topics.  An information sheet has been sent home with children providing further details about this new initiative!
