The school council wanted to do something that extended beyond the school. They decided it would be a good idea to help people from a developing country.

The children had a discussion and decided to choose a girl. Safi was chosen from a number of possibilities. They then compared statistics from the information given and decided Safi was the most needy.

Safi is from Tanzania. She has 3 siblings and lives with her mother.

Our sponsorship provides Safi with food, medical needs, and family help whilst also ensuring she gets an education.

Each class take turns to write to Safi. We recieve very interesting letters from her, written in her own language and translated. The pupils appreciate the contrast of lifestyle through their contact with Safi.

We sponsor her through an organization called 'Compassion'. Compassion is a Christian organisation dedicated to relieving children all over the world from poverty by means of personal sponsorship.
