We offer hot school meals or children can choose to bring a packed lunch. We encourage children to keep with the same meal choice for the entire week. Our school meals are provided by Carmarthenshire Catering Service which provides school meals to 95 primary schools in the county.

School Dinners cost £2.50 per day, £12.50 per week and should be paid at the school office at the beginning of each week. Payment should be placed in an envelope and clearly marked with the child’s name, year group and amount enclosed.  Payments can be made by cheque or cash, if you are paying by cheque please make cheques payable to Carmarthenshire County Council. Free school meals are available, forms can be collected from the school office or are available online.

The menus are measured against tough national standards produced by a program called Saffron which becomes legislative law in September 2012. So by choosing school meals your child is sure to be having a well-balanced, tasty dish to prolong their energy for the afternoon.

The school lunches provided today are the healthiest they have ever been, but still include some tasty old favourites such as beef, lamb or pork roast dinner and chicken curry. Vegetarians are also catered for by the catering department, with a vegetarian option offered every day.

As well as providing a healthy school meal Carmarthenshire County Council also organise themed days across the whole year as well as competitions to encourage pupils to socialize and try new dishes that they might not have experienced before.
